White aluminium oxide abrasive F8-3000# white aluminium oxide is produced by fusing calcined alumina in an electric arc furnace under carefully controlled conditions. The material produced is white in color, dense and has predominantly large crystals of Alpha Alumina. Ingots are crushed, ground, and precision screened in our new crushing and screening facility to obtain very consistently sized fractions. Magnetic iron from crushing is removed by rare earth magnets to ensure very low levels of iron in the finished products. Close sized fractions are available or precision blended to specification. This process ensures a very consistent sizing from coarse to fines which is critical in many applications. This product is an excellent non-skid or anti-slip when added to paint and applied to steps or entrances. Aluminum Oxide is the same mineral that is used in many types of sand papers. A characteristic of Aluminum Oxide is sharp edges which gives gripping power when added to paint.
